Now We Are Free

For seven years, we have lived in Minnesota working toward our goal, and today we made our final debt payment.

“Now we are free.” –Gladiator

Battleweary are we, but glad and so grateful.

Grateful for these years of fireflies, canyons, corn fields, headaches, heartache, I love yous, arguments, new jobs, broken dishes, flat tires, worry, disappointment, relief, wrong numbers, hitting the snooze button, bringing in wood, burying loved ones, gathering around the table, a little girl growing up. All the messy and mundane and miraculous…

Praise the Savior ye who know him
who can tell how much we owe him
let us gladly render to him
all we are and have.

“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”

Philippians 1:9-11
